Children's Advocacy Network

Advocate - n., one who defends, who pleads another's case or one who calls for one's aid.

Why Advocacy? At Compassion, we know all our sponsors have a heart for the poor. But for some, sponsoring is only a first step. They long to find other avenues to improve the lives of destitute children.

Is God calling you to do more to relieve children's suffering? If so, the Children's Advocacy Network exists to serve you. The network provides resources, as well as moral and prayer support to people who wish to plead the cause of the poor in their sphere of influence.

Share your passion for helping needy children with family, friends and co-workers. Encourage your church and community to remember the needs of the poor. Our Advocacy Network gives people like you, who want to share their time and talents, the opportunity to change children's lives for eternity.

Join our Advocacy Network. We provide resources and support to serve in the area that suits you best.

Is God calling you?

Many of our advocates say that their sponsorship experience has touched them so deeply that they want to tell people about it. Others say the plight of the needy breaks their hearts. God compels them to speak out on behalf of Children at Risk. If you also feel God moving you to do more, consider becoming an advocate for the world's neediest children. The Children's Advocacy Network offers scope for your talents and gifts.

Feature Advocate Testimonials

What our Compassion advocates have said about being a part of Children's Advocacy Network (CAN):

I became a Compassion Advocate because I did not want to forget where I have come from and the poverty that I have experienced. By helping a child, you let them know that someone cares for them, just as someone cared for me. Nii Lantey Lamptey.

By speaking to small groups, putting up posters & displays, distributing brochures and showing videos within our church, we have been able to effectively spread the word about Compassion's important ministry. Bob, Janice & Katie Morton.
