News Advisory: Fire (Brazil)

July 14, 2010 - A slum fire in Sao Paulo, Brazil has left 250 people homeless and destroyed more than 100 houses.

Compassion has one child development center in the affected area. Six Compassion-assisted children have lost homes and are safely living with relatives.

The local Partnership Facilitator is working with the project to help the affected families.

Please thank God for protecting our children and families from injury during the fire. Pray for those who lost home or belongings that God would provide for their needs.

Compassion Brazil will keep us updated as more information is available.

Compassion Canada will contact you if your sponsored child has been affected.
