Compassion Canada, an international child development agency located in London Ontario, is seeking an individual to join the Information Technology Team.

Position: Web Developer
Department: Information Technology
Salary: TBA + Benefits
Location: London Ontario Canada

This candidate will provide corporate-wide web solutions to meet Compassion Canada’s information processing needs. This includes building and implementing new sites; integrating sites with back end applications; and performing day-to-day administration of our organization’s Web portfolio. Use of a variety of Web development languages, protocols and tools is required.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years web development experience with client/server development technologies that include: ASP /.NET, PHP, Javascript, CSS, XHTML, XML, MySQL or MS SQL
  • Thorough understanding of application development methodologies
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements
  • Highly self motivated and directed 
  • Proactive problem solving and organizational skills

The following skills would be considered an asset:

  • Very strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Keen attention to detail
  • E-Commerce experience
  • Knowledge of RightNow CRM
  • Excellent keyboarding skills
