Leadership Development Program
Educating, training and discipling servant leaders
Compassion’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) identifies outstanding students and provides them with an opportunity to attend university, receive Christian leadership training, and develop their intrinsic leadership skills. Each LDP student is selected according to strict criteria including proven academic achievement, Christian commitment, demonstrated leadership skills and a willingness to serve.
Your monthly support of $330 CAD provides for your sponsored student’s tuition and education-related expenses as they earn a degree in their chosen field of study, and participate in Christian leadership training, enabling them to become a fully developed agent of change in their nation.
Each year thousands of students graduate from Compassion’s Child Development Sponsorship Program (CDSP) with their lives vastly improved. Among them are a number of young leaders who aspire to continue their education and training in order to become agents of change for their communities and nations, yet they lack the resources.
You can choose to:
- Sponsor an LDP student by using the search facility on the right-hand side of this page - $330 CAD* per month or $3960 a year.
- Make a donation to the Leadership Development Fund.
These recurring or once-time gifts, when pooled, enable even more students to have access to the program and attend the college or university of their dreams.
In addition to providing funds towards university tuition and other related expenses, such as books, room and board, the program also provides a rigorous curriculum of Christian leadership training and mentoring. Students graduate from this program ready to serve their communities and bring hope for the future to their nations.
