How Does It Work?
It is an arrangement under which the donor transfers a sum to Compassion, with a Deed of Agreement which authorizes Compassion to arrange a commercial annuity that would pay the agreed amount to the donor(s). Payments are made either by cheque or electronic deposit.
Advantages:
- Depending on your age when the annuity is started, some or all of the income received each year is tax-free! This means your actual "disposable" income will be considerably higher than the taxable interest income you are currently receiving from investments.
