WHAT IS PLANNED GIVING?

We Believe … every child is a child of promise.  However, millions of children living in developing countries are too hungry and malnourished, too diseased and poverty-stricken, to develop as God intended. Providing assistance to these children is an excellent way to have an impact on the families and communities of tomorrow.

What is Planned Giving?
Planned Giving is simply, "planning to give." It is the process of helping you to maximize gifts to your beneficiaries and God's work, minimize tax, and improve your overall financial plans and security.

Planned gifts are usually arranged now and tailored to your personal and financial circumstances but received in the future. Gifts usually include bequests, gifts of life insurance, and gift annuities. Gifts can be funded with cash, property, stocks and securities.

Who Can Make a Planned Gift?
Anyone can make a planned gift. Planned gifts can be of any amount and designated for immediate use or invested and endowed as an ongoing legacy.

Why Make a Planned Gift?
When you and Compassion Canada work together to establish a planned gift, you leave a legacy to make someone's childhood a hope-filled one. You will fulfill your intentions to make a lasting difference in the spirit of Christ's name. There are exciting tax and estate planning benefits that can add to the joy of your giving.
