| Mar 07 | Matthew 18:5 And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. Pray for more advocacy action in the area of children's rights in Ethiopia, so that all the population might understand and respect the integrity of each child. |
| Mar 08 | Job 16:19 Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. Pray for the thousands of orphans living in Ghana - that they will have caregivers and their caregivers will have the resources to meet the holistic needs of these children. |
| Mar 09 | Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Close to half the population of Guatemala is under 18 years old. Pray for God's blessing upon Compassion's ministry to the children of Guatemala - they are the hope and investment for its future. Pray that God would strengthen our Compassion projects and leaders there. |
| Mar 10 | Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. We thank the Lord for his promise of protection and help and ask for this protection for children in Haiti who are at a greater risk for exposure to violence and exploitation due to the recent earthquake in their country. |

While gender discrimination may seem like an outdated concept in developed countries, in India, it is a daily reality. Pray for the daughters who are abandoned by their families - that they will know the love of positive role models and friends within Compassion's ministry and the church. |

Militant Islamic groups have scarred Indonesia's landscape in recent times with terrorist attacks and tensions, causing many to live in fear and uncertainty. In some parts of the country, Islamic law is being enforced, despite it being a secular nation. Please pray for Compassion projects as they seek to work with children and families of all faiths in Indonesia. |
Compassion's Commitment to Prayer
Your prayers have an eternal impact for the health, safety, education and spiritual development of your child. Sponsored children are greatly encouraged to hear that their sponsors are praying for them. Remember that your sponsored child most likely prays for you, too.
Compassion is ministering to over one million children in 25 countries of the world. There are about 160,000 children at any given time waiting for a sponsor.
