How do I become a Volunteer?

There are many different ways in which you can volunteer with Compassion Canada, depending on your skills and passions!

Volunteer at Compassion’s Head Office

Compassion Canada’s head office is based at London, Ontario. If you live locally, then you are welcome to become a ‘Friend of Compassion’ by volunteering at head office. Compassion’s greatest need is always for volunteers to help process at head office the hundreds of thousands of letters being sent to and from our sponsored children.

So if you have the time, commitment and you don’t mind folding letters, stuffing envelopes while chatting to other Compassion volunteers, then we’d love to hear from you! - Contact Compassion Canada

Volunteer at Compassion Events

Compassion attends most major Christian events across the country. Compassion is always in need of volunteers to work at the Compassion stand/display at these events. To volunteer at these events you must be an official Compassion Children's Advocate.

Volunteer as a Compassion Advocate

Become a Compassion Children’s Advocate. Advocates are Compassion child sponsors who have a heart for the poor and long to find other ways to improve the lives of children at risk living in desperate poverty.

Compassion Advocates volunteer their time to promote and represent Compassion’s ministry in their church or school; recruit new sponsors; seek out new opportunities to present Compassion child sponsorship; share about Compassion’s child sponsorship ministry with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues; look for new opportunities to raise awareness of the issues facing children in poverty and help sign-up new Compassion sponsors at conferences, conventions, concerts and events.
