1+1=2. It makes sense to you—inviting someone to sponsor doubles your impact. And if every Compassion supporter shared about sponsorship? Think of how much we can do for children in poverty together!

Inviting someone to sponsor can be very simple. As simple as a conversation or a meaningful message. Sending a friend a DM on a social media platform can get them thinking about sponsorship for the first time. Sending an email to someone at work can spark curiosity in helping a child in poverty. Even a simple text message can initiate interest in changing a child’s life through sponsoring.

The people you know and love, they know and trust you! Taking a moment to share an opportunity you think will be meaningful for them will be something they take note of. Your experience sponsoring a child is a real and trustworthy testimony to them. And you know what? They will probably be honoured that you thought that they would share that care and concern for children around the world!

We’ve made it simple for you to share. Simply copy and paste the message that resonates most with you and send it to a family member, friend, colleague, team member or any person you have at the front your mind.

Feel free to customize the messages as much as you want. These messages are simply a source of inspiration for you to share!

Hi!

I wanted to send you a note to tell you that you came to my mind today. I got thinking about who you are and how I’ve seen you express generosity to those around you. It inspired me to share something I am passionate about because I think that it might resonate with your generous spirit. You may have heard me talk about my sponsor child with Compassion before, but it occurred to me that sponsoring with Compassion might be something you would really enjoy too.

The reason I have loved my sponsorship journey so much is that I’ve seen how simple, powerful and effective Compassion’s child sponsorship program is. I get to change a child’s life by partnering with their local church who knows, loves and protects them. Not only that, because I get letters and updates on my child, I have a relationship with them and know how my sponsorship is impacting them.

It’s just an amazing way to live generously and make an impact. And it’s so simple!

I thought you might be interested in exploring sponsorship with Compassion and I feel confident recommending their ministry to you. So, if you want to talk more let me know. Or if you want to explore their website, you can do that too!

I just thought this opportunity would really resonate with you and your values, so I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share more about my experience.

Talk soon,

Hello!

I was recently reflecting on something that matters to me and I know through our conversations that it might resonate with you.

I’ve been thinking about the problem of poverty in our world and how it can feel so overwhelming, especially when you add in the day-to-day ways that our time is taken up like work, family, friends, health. I often wish I could do more for those living in poverty. In reflecting on that, I started thinking about my sponsorship with Compassion Canada and how that is such a significant part of my life. My sponsorship connects me with a very real impact I can make in our world, even amidst the busyness of life. For my Compassion child, I get to change their world.

I have always respected your generosity at work and the way you think about others. So I wanted to share about my sponsorship with Compassion because I thought you might appreciate an opportunity to make an impact that is simple, effective and meaningful. If you’d like to chat more about sponsorship, I’d love to share more. Or you can browse Compassion’s website to learn more.

Have a great day!

Hey! Lately I’ve been thinking about the importance of helping others. There is so much going on in the world and so many people are facing poverty, especially kids. With all that has been happening, it has made me really grateful for the way that I can make an impact in my sponsor child’s life through Compassion. I was thinking about you and how you might really love sponsoring too. If you want to find out more about my experience, let’s chat! Perhaps someone you know has been looking for a way to make a difference in the world, maybe they just need someone to connect the dots or explain sponsorship to them, or perhaps they just need someone to call out their generous and caring heart. Whatever the case, a meaningful message can be the catalyst to change a child’s life and to invite someone you know into the simplicity, joy and fulfillment of sponsoring a child. It doesn’t have to be fancy, and it doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
