People living in poverty are the most vulnerable to the harrowing effects of environmental disasters, which have only gotten worse in recent years. In late 2020, Hurricanes Eta and Iota ripped through Latin America, leaving tragic devastation in their wake. This gift provides materials for major home repairs to 16 families in Guatemala whose homes experienced major damage during Hurricane Eta.
