In Sri Lanka, some Compassion Child Development Centres lack suitable kitchen facilities to prepare and serve food for children. A functional kitchen is essential to providing refreshments, meals, snacks and nutrition-related activities for children.   Your gift will invest in kitchen facilities at 24 Compassion Child Development Centres, serving 4,800 children. Over 6 months, kitchens will be constructed, renovated or upgraded to meet standards for cleanliness, ventilation, food preparation, waste management and water access. Each centre will be equipped with essentials needed to serve children and youth, such as food storage, preparation equipment and washing facilities.
