Due to the current global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Compassion Canada has decided to suspend all international travel until further notice. This means that all Exposure Trips will be postponed or cancelled and we will not be planning any Custom Visits for the foreseeable future.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus within the Compassion community and to prevent unexpected travel complications for anyone travelling with Compassion. We also want to be mindful to allow our Frontline Church Partner staff and National Office staff to focus on meeting the immediate needs of the beneficiaries and the communities in which they serve.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as we are able. For further information visit our COVID-19 travel FAQ page. If you have any questions, please contact the Field Experience team at 1-800-563-5437 ext. 186 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is an Exposure Trip?
You’ve seen the pictures. You’ve written the letters. But now, you’re ready for something more.
Compassion Exposure Trips allow you to step into an intercultural experience alongside a group of other travellers. You will explore the home country of the child you sponsor—learning from people in their community and experiencing the local food, games, language and more. You will also have the opportunity to meet the child you sponsor face-to-face and deliver that next letter in person!
Please be sure to visit this pageto learn what makes Compassion Exposure trips unique and for more information about what you will experience on your trip. Not interested in attending a planned trip? You can meet your child on a Custom Visit!
