Your congregation will be completely immersed in this 5-minute virtual reality video.
They will get up close and personal with the realities of global poverty and hear the true story of a family living in Brazil. They’ll walk with Antonia, a mother of two daughters, who prays for relief from her family’s poverty. They’ll see how the Compassion program blesses the life of Antonia’s 7-year-old, while witnessing the challenges experienced by her 4-year-old who has not yet been sponsored.
Their eyes and hearts will be opened, as they see the world through God’s eyes. Plus, kids will have the opportunity to learn what life is really like for millions of children around the world.

Your Compassion Relationship Manager will provide the Virtual Reality Kit, which will include:
- 6 VR Experience headsets
- 6 headphones
- Pullup banners
- Tabletop displays
- Activities and “Passports” for kids
- Sanitizing wipes to clean the headsets, headphones and activity stations throughout the event
- Information on how to take action with Compassion after the experience, such as by sponsoring a child or making a donation — and much more!
We recommend two to three hours, depending on crowds. Most churches choose to hold their event before and/or after church services. Your Compassion Relationship Manager will work with you to ensure this aligns with your vision.
No, we provide everything you need, expect for a few supplies that you probably already have on hand, like:
- 6 stools (or tall swivel chairs)
- 4 long tables and 1 small table
- Plenty of pens
Absolutely! We’ll include several activities for kids in your Virtual Reality Kit. These activities will help kids understand what life is really like for children living in poverty. You’ll find more details in your Planning Guide. As kids start to see the world through God’s eyes, they will grow in compassion and gratitude.
