Getting ready for Compassion Sunday

Compassion Sunday is a national event that draws the Church’s attention to the needs of children and families living in poverty. It’s your opportunity to join thousands of other supporters in telling your church community about Compassion’s ministry.

As an advocate, you are especially knowledgeable about Compassion and already well-equipped to introduce your church to child sponsorship. But if you’re nervous about preparing for your presentation, this video offers some practical tips.

    Developing a Compassion Sunday presentation

You can find details and sign-up information for Compassion Sunday on the website, www.compassionsunday.ca

You’ll also find a resources page with videos, photos, facts about poverty, suggested worship songs, key Bible verses, PowerPoint slides and activities for children and youth. There’s also a presentation builder to help you develop an outline for your message. These resources are for you to use on Compassion Sunday or for any other speaking opportunity.

With God’s blessing, we pray that hundreds of children will find hope—and a new life story—through the prayers and efforts of people like you on Compassion Sunday.
