In the Dominican Republic’s Independencia province, the landscape is characterized by mountainous terrain and permeable soil. Most rainwater seeps into the ground, limiting the formation of rivers and making safe drinking water difficult to access. Clean water is essential to the health of children and families, helping them flourish.  

Your gift will invest in water springs, helping ensure that 379 program participants have access to sufficient, high-quality potable water within 12 months. By drilling wells, installing submersible pumps and connecting them to the existing aqueduct, this project will support the well-being of local families. A hygiene and health plan will also help equip community members to care for their families and maintain the new facilities.  

Your investment will provide practical support to members of our global neighbourhood, reminding families that they are seen and loved.

No less than 80 per cent of your donation will be used for program activities and a maximum of 20 per cent for fundraising and administration. If we exceed our funding goal for the initiative shown, the remaining funds will be used to fund other programs where the need is greatest.
