Absolutely! Just above and to the left of the box where you can type out your letter to your sponsored child there is an “Upload a Photo” button. Use it to select the photo to add to your letter. Once you are ready to send the letter with the photo off to your sponsored child, just click on the “Send Letter” button at the bottom right of the box.

Your sponsored child’s information is normally updated in our system every 18 to 24 months; however, whenever a serious change in your child’s life occurs, such as the death of a parent, your child’s file will be updated as soon as is possible. Your regular correspondence with your child provides you access with more up-to-date information based on your child’s letters. If you notice a significant discrepancy in your child’s information, please contact our office and one of our Associates will request an update to your child’s file.

The completion date is added to the child information around the age of 12 when he or she starts a work book called “My Plan for Tomorrow.” This book helps them to identify their strengths and areas of interest and then look at both employment opportunities that are available in that area and the educational requirements to secure a job in that field of interest. By the age of 14 there should be a completion date included on every child.

My Compassion is set up so that each spouse has his or her own account rather than a shared one, with the primary account being that of the owner of the email address we have on file. A future update will allow you to link accounts with your spouse, letting you each have a custom experience on My Compassion while still being able to share the same data. If you have any comments or suggestions on this feature, please send them using the “Send Feedback” button in My Compassion.
